You'll be surprised and proud at what they can learn.

Use technology, but be prepared with traditional materials, too. The Internet is a great learning tool but keep in mind that not everything you find online is trustworthy. You should always have a back up plan if something does not work out with the lesson you had planned.

Try using unit study method for teaching your children. Unit methods have you study a single topic at any given time. By focusing on such a specific set of information, your lessons will be more in-depth. You can study classical concert music for a few weeks. Following the completion of the six weeks unit, you and your child should attend a classical music performance to reinforce the concept of the importance of this genre of music. Your child will never forget this experience.

Teachers have to learn as much as their students. This means taking courses and reading articles like this one. This will provide them with the best education possible.
